Miroir de l'Humanité

“Miroir de l’Humanité is an educational piece for string orchestra created in collaboration with young musicians from the Strasbourg Music Schools Network. It was conceived around two central themes: expressiveness—with a focus on the interplay of tension and release between the sections—and the robotic (or automated) dimension of musical language. The piece thus brings these two worlds together, employing a few extended playing techniques (col legno bowing, fingerboard playing, etc.) that form a natural bridge to contemporary music and its experimental dimension.”
